F1 Car Design
Define the Problem
This project was designed to take a predetermined car design and build it, then optimize it through changes that make it better or more aesthetic. We followed the design step by step and were to figure out issues as they arose and refamiliarize ourselves with the CAD software. The project was set as a reminder of the Inventor program and how to use many of its useful tools and commands.
Goals:
1 - Refamiliarize ourselves with Inventor and how to use it
2 - Design the best car aerodynamically, aesthetically, etc.
3 - Gain enough knowledge so that we may use this program more as we work on our Capstone projects
4 - Fit the constraints placed on the car size

Ideas:
- Red with typical F1 Logo as theme
- Black with Batman Logo like the Batmobile
- Change the Front Wing to be more aerodynamic
- Elongate the Rear Wing
- Shorten the Body
- Lengthen the Body
- Decrease the Height of the Car
- Eliminate the Front Wing
- Blue Theme like the Ocean
- Change the material so that the car is lighter

Conclusion
I was relatively rusty with inventor, but remembered the basics when I hopped back into it. Extruding and doing sketches came back easily along with some of the functions such as vertical and horizontal alignment tools. The only new stuff to me was the Free Form use and editing it to make a better design. This new tool I feel will be beneficial in the long run as it allows for many more designs to be created and utilized. As for the assembly, it was not too bad and did bring back some memories of doing it in the past. The only difficulty was some functions did not work correctly like combine and some of the assembly presented small issues. Overall, this was a good reminder of how to use inventor again, it was just brief and that caused most problems I believe.
